- In 2012 Chapel of the Lakes was the founding sponsor for African Dream Academy Foundation in Monrovia, Liberia. ADA operates two campuses in Liberia, West Africa. Education is provided age 3 through 12th grade of high school.
- Blue Heron Ministries is a non-profit Christian land conservation organization based in the Newell addition of the Chapel. They contract with private and public landowners and other non-profits conservation organization to restore marshland, sedge meadow, prairie, oak savanna, and open oak woodland communities in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.
