- In 2012 Chapel of the Lakes was the founding sponsor for African Dream Academy Foundation in Monrovia, Liberia. ADA operates two campuses in Liberia, West Africa. Education is provided age 3 through 12th grade of high school.
- Blue Heron Ministries is a non-profit Christian land conservation organization formerly based in the Newell addition of the Chapel. In 2026 they moved to their new building adjacent to the Chapel. They contract with private and public landowners and other non-profits conservation organization to restore marshland, sedge meadow, prairie, oak savanna, and open oak woodland communities in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.
